wtf is the point?

Sometimes they take half hour to load, especially if its a bloody picture. Why? Is that extra 5kb worth worrying about? I swear, if I met someone who said "Ooh, I use pdf files on my webspace" I would nut em and stomp on his face.

If you use a pdf page, guess what? I aint looking at it.

Boycott pdfs! Sigh my petition!!!

PDFs are wonderful. Theyre really meant as pre-press documents. Mac and Linux come with much nicer viewers and tools to create them than XP out of the box. Heck, XP cant even print to PDF or read PS files as is. Lame. :P

Theyre overkill for a photo, but great for having control over how something looks on a page.

If theyre taking a long time to load youve made the mistake of installing Acrobat reader instead of the awesome Foxit reader.

PDFs, for professional use are sh*t hot...

As goblin says, if youre getting slow reponse times i.e. its taking ages to load, you need to ditch AA if youre using it...

I dont have this problem anymore as i use Linux and Mac OS X and as Max says - they handle such files very nicely, thank you very much ;).

I think its worth pointing out that Microsoft want to implement this feature, its just that Adobe throws a hissy fit when they try.
