I remember listening to the news a bit while all this was going on, i remember them saying they were having trouble controlling the virus, then they set a deadline date and lo and behold they somehow met the date, but i am sceptical it was anything more than propoganda.
I get the impression that with the current movement of people this virus is the next big thing we should be worrying about.
What are your thoughts?
in a very few people ebola can go and hide for quite some time then resurface. This has been known about for a good while.
It has recently been observed to be in semen of male survivors up to 9 months after 'recovery' and it's not fully over, two new cases have been reported in Guinea.
The other side of this is that about 11,000 people died in 2 years, About the same as gun death toll in the US in a single year. This isn't going to remove the human race from the face of the earth. A modern 'black death' scenario might kill 2 BILLION or more.
Then every year about 1.24 million people die due to road traffic related incidents.
