My mum used to love hearing it and probably our annoyance :(

She had a couple of toy versions that played part of the tune as well as a keyring. I bet you would like them?

I got one of those the other day (I cant eat a normal adult meal) so, I gave the toy to my dad which happened to be Reel 2 Real and now he keeps going around the house with it playing and dancing to it and wiggling his bum in the wierdest way ever!

STRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANGE!

So am I!  ;)

Theyre basicallly like little ipod toys and theres a button on the top which you press and it plays the whole song. Theres I think 6-8 different songs you can collect. But its actually the real sound and not just polyphonic, etc.

Serious: Urrgh.. my friend has one of the plush toys of it and when you squeeze it it plays the song in her car. So tempted to throw it out the window!

Mac Ds is the biggest toy retailer in the world and thats just from the kids meals.

And a side note Lego makes more tires than any other company too....

Its a slow morning.

more tires?! Please explain!

And thats an interesting fact about the toys! I hate the damn things.. having to make up tons of the boxes with the toys in! It gets tedious..

All the little lego cars have rubber tires, that are separate from the hubs unlike most other toy car makers. They make about 300 Million little rubber tires every year. That makes them, techincally, the largest tyre manufacturer in the WORLD. Mua-ha-ha....

They should have done one player that if you buy some meals you get stamps for, fill a book hand it into the counter and get a very basic mp3 player that has a special slot, then with meals you get a flash card to fit slot.
Similar costs involved but you could then have more meals needed (more cash, fatter kids) and the cards would be very collectable.

Kids would have to wait a while before they save up enough for the player though. Rendering the cards useless for say, the first 4 times they come to mcdonalds. That could be a month and the idea of the toys is so the kids have something they can play with right then rather than have to wait and not having anything to play with when they visit the store. Unless we sold them seperately too for like Ã,£3.00... then thatd probably get alot of sales!

true but collectors would just get the cards and they would be worth it, the pplayer dunnu im sure they could come up with something to ship.

happy meals must be a loss leader for McDs. i cant see how they can make anymoney on the meal and the, sometimes quite decent, toy. Only Ã,£1.99 isnt it?

its now Ã,£2.10, but that even doesnt pay for the new toys (IMHO)
The build quality on the new MP3 type thing, is amazing.

Aye, Ã,£1.99

Well, seperately itd cost..

79p for a cheeseburger/99p for 4 nuggets/69p for a hamburger
89p for a soft drink, 79p if its a fruit shoot, Ã,£1.19 if its a tropicana OJ
79p for the fries
Ã,£1.00 for the toy (seperately)

Ã,£3.97 for the most expensive options! Haha

What I find funny is with the employee discount card I can get a breakfast meal for Ã,£1.50.. and if you get an OJ with the meal (which can be like a double sausage and egg muffin with a hasbrown) Im paying 30p for all the food. They must be making a loss on that!

Random babbling about prices. :p

Theyre a minimum profit thing or lossleader depending, they still make a profit on the adults accompanying the children though and in later life they hope the kids will keep coming back and buying their rot...
