It would be funny cept for the left wing bit. The radical right keeps calling her a marxist and such over here. Look at her voting record and youll see somebody that could be comfortably Tory or would be far right of a Swedish "Moderate". FWIW, there is no left in the US that matters. There is only the center and the radical right these days--in national politics.

Roughly the same as in the UK, our left is now the Lib-Dems :/

Although there are extreme lefties out there too, they are never going to have any hope of power in the UK.

Whats ridiculous, is that being against the Iraq war, or concerned with things like global warming makes you a "radical lefty" in the US, where as far as Im concerned--those two things have more to do with common sense than any sort of political lean. The US has come to have a political system that divided on whether or not it believes in basic science. Thats pretty frightening.

Just last night, Jon Stewart had on the most unfortunate guest to tell us why global warming is a big left wing conspiracy (http://www.amazon.com/Politically-Incorrect-Global-Warming-Environmentalism/dp/1596985011/sr=8-1/qid=1171558801/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-4584980-5572760?ie=UTF8&s=books) against the American way and against capitalism. His book is just flying off the shelves. The man has no scientific background--but his organization is funded totally by big oil and the automotive industry. Regardless, the right is lapping up the book as "proof", just in the same way that the Bible proves stuff. You know, jus cuz.

Its reality vs. complete fiction over here, not left vs. right.

err, no, maxi, we are talking about communists and similar extreme leftist views, nothing to do with US in Iraq which is a completely separate issue, or global warming. Mostly its the Socialist Workers party but there are other Marx, Engels, Lenin and Trotskyist groups.

There is no joke, why bother? Jokes must incorporate an element of truth, this is just a random insult.

HC is a political moderate, has C to D ish size breasts by the look of it is and is not the owner of oversized loins.

This must have come from some sort of American far right "humor" site, as its typical of their style. Conservatives cant do humor, as it needs to either have an element of truth, or of discomfort--but what they put forth as humor is usually just hate and propaganda.

Why?

Its just an insult. Ive been listening to the right wing insulting HC since 92, and usually its just baseless and not funny. It would have been just as dumb if it had said that she was tartan and made of gluten. I dont like her at all, in case somebody thinks its an issue of defending the woman.

Now, you can say random things about political figures that are funny. Saw a sticker this morning that said "Dick Cheney eats babies." Why is that funny? Well, Cheney has a reputation for being very hawkish, and such hyperbole is taking it to an absurdist level.

Humor is quite serious stuff, as its historically been the last way somebody can speak truth to power.

Its just an insult.

Insults can be very funny, and whereas for you Americans it may cause issues with voting the British have no such problems, Im not going to be voting for Hillary no matter what.

Its a joke. A dumb, stupid, American Republican joke maybe - but still a joke.

Then again, so is Dubya
