Well my Uncle, cursed by the national for so many years with his steady 3 horse pick...

Until he got the winner in 2010, then 2011 + 2 places (from 3 horses) but dropped off a little and only got a place last year in 2012, I will be tapping him up something rotted on the run-up to try and get the info ASAP ;D

His picks are,

Colbert Station (fancies and has been watching it but not backed yet, 16/1 ante post) edit, now on No Run No Bet (NRNB) and backed at 16/1.
Teaforthree 14sish
Ballabriggs 18/20ish

My uncles tips are in with the usual caveats, don't bet more than you can afford to lose and don't assume just because he's been correct the last few years he's some kind of magic guru, by his own admission he was shize before these previous 'golden years' so don't go dropping tenners down like these are dead certs! The national is quite literally a lottery with so many horses running.

IF YOU'RE GOING TO BET ONLINE *BE CAREFUL* AND MAKE SURE YOU GET A PLACE FOR 1-2-3-4-5! (some even do 6) some bookies appear to offer better odds but are often only paying out 1-2-3-4! betvictor are again the only bookie paying 6 places at 1/4 odds

On a side note, someone I work with reckons 'Animal Kingdom' in the Dubai World cup, I put £5 on to shut him up

I'll be in it to win it again, same as usual. 8) Its becoming more of a forum tradition now than anything, its all good fun as long as you don't go mad for it like you said.

Might get lucky again this time, I think we need to collectively rub Ross Kemp's head for good luck!

When is it coming about? Must be a good few weeks away yet.

I'll definitely be gambling on it as I always do.

6th April.

Not sure whether I want to bet this year, last year was the first time I could/did, but I couldn't stand watching the horses fall over ):

Last years was pretty bad for it, (iirc) with the horse getting loose at the start then not making it round.

i cleaned up last year. £20 in bets returned over £100 - had a load of small each ways bets. always best to find someone who pays on 6 places, etc.

He's looking at a possible Ante Post on Colbert Station, currently around 16/1, if you don't know what Ante Post is don't bother as it has additional risks attached to it!

Good shout, last year iirc it was only Victor Chandler doing 6 places, hopefully a few more will follow suit.

Colbert Station already dropped to 14s at a few bookies.

I went for Uncle's tips at Betvictor, so not great odds but easily the best deal I think with 6 places and 'non runner, no bet' policy. Their £25 promo deal is scamolatastic though and should be ignored.

Teaforthree got a place so should cover stake money on the 3, dunno who came 6th yet.

Aye, not amazing but good enough result. I've no idea who placed 4th, 5th, 6th.

I couldn't believe Colbert Station went down.

6th was swing bill, a repeat of last year really, seabass was bossing it but got pipped, this year the same happened to teaforthree!

How did I miss this, anyway it didn't! McCoy got chucked off, it was running ahead of the pack for a while (as it would with such a weight advantage)

Shame he couldn't hold on as it was definitely in with a great shout up to then :(
