Title: Grant National 2025

Back once again for the renegade copypasta

Maybe we'll get a decade of these on the first page of General Discussion eventually

Seems to be one fifth odds as standard, doesn't look like there's any decent offers going around yet again. I've not placed any bets yet, but getting in early is a good idea.

(2024 thread here http://www.tekforums.net/general-discussion/grant-national-2024/)

https://www.oddschecker.com/grand-national/winner <- odds table, remember generally the odds tumble as the event closes in.

Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. The national is quite literally a lottery with so many horses running, the bookies can be "generous" On this event because with such an enormous field and now reduced E/W payouts they still win regardless.

Seems like all the good offers have not been repeated again for this year. I'll probably get bets in soon before the odds have dwindled.

YA USED ME SKINNER!

Even if bet365 do their old mega deal I'm not eligible anyway, my max bet there is now pence ::)

I'll check the popular irish bookmaker nearer the time, no doubt I'll use the same format as last year.

DENTAL PLAN

LISA NEEDS BRACES

With bet365 out of the picture for me I headed over to the irish bookie, alas Paddy was only offering places for the first 5, so off to Sky I went, first 6, better.

Prices quite different to the above, seems nowhere is offering best odds guaranteed anymore which is rubbish :(

£5 E/W

Beauport 25/1
Grangeclare West 33/1

£3.50 E/W

Nick Rockett 25/1
Duffle Coat 50/1
Mr Vango 33/1

£2.50 E/W

Minella Cocooner 20/1
Coko Beach 66/1

---

Total staked £51

The great offers really are dried up now year on year. I staked £50 as well with roughly the same spread as you, we have a few crossovers so we will see what comes of it and hopefully we both do well :ptu:

Edit: Looks like Malina Girl pulled out, so I've now bet E/W on Grangeclare West @ 33/1 as well

Well done Matt on Nick Rockett  :nana: I got half my money back on Iroko and Grangeclare West

Yeah I'll take that, nice to see the race wasn't dominated by short price horses,

Top 7
1 Nick Rockett 33-1
2 I Am Maximus 7-1
3 Grangeclare West 33-1
4 Iroko 13-2f
5 Meetingofthewaters 20-1
6 Senior Chief 40-1
7 Minella Cocooner 18-1

Of my bets,
Grangeclare West returned £38
Nick Rockett returned £112
Mr Vango NRNB refunded £7

£51 of bets yielded £157.

Same time next year :ptu:

Out of curiosity what did Iroko pay? I just don't bother with such short price horses but a wins a win.

I had £15.20 from Grangeclare West and £10.40 from Iroko. I'll be going full Irish on the picks next year
