edit: I know its SC but i think this is graphic enough to warrant a thumbnail and a NSFW morbidity warning - Clockd

:( :(
Given the scale of the disaster; does Haiti ever have any chance of recovering from this? Im amazed that theyre still finding survivors.

as a side note.... Haiti and the Dominican Republic share the same (small) island right ?  but no-one is talking about the Dominican Republic having problems... and google isnt telling me anything either... or explaining why.... wtf is up with that ?s

tho google did say, that of the 9.8million people living in Haiti, more than half are under tha age of 21 :o

People and families of people who lived their (immigrants) and others are desperately finding their dead loved ones or have found them and keeping them safe because there are mass graves all over the place now and once they are there your not likely to get them back :(

With that many people in villages etc are just pulling bodies out of places any how they can and burring them in unmarked graves themselves just to avoid disease etc. Of course they are doing the right thing to survive in a sense but still, if your family of that person thats bad :(

It is a complete mess there and it is sooo sad. What makes it worse is seeing all that aid sitting on the run way for ages :(

What gets me is all these aid adverts popping up from companies you never heard of, how many of them are real? People trying to make money off of it :(

I like how quite a few celebs doing appeal videos have actually donated money, Saundra Bolluck for example put 1Mill to aid. Good on her.
To often you see them talk the talk and not actually give anything themselves.

To be brutally honest the funeral rites are much more for those attending than the dead person. Once you are dead your body doesnt matter.

As for companies asking for aid money, only give it to ones you know. There will be plenty of Nigerian sharks out there hoping for some idiot to donate to them instead.

Haiti wont recover for a very long time, around 5000 high-seciruty prisoners including drug barons and gangsters escaped from their prisons too and are now free :(

Haiti and the DC are very different. There are lots of economic and geographic factors that make DC quite nice and Haiti quite skanky. But its a big island. Its like if there was a big earthquake eppied on Cardiff the people in London would barely feel it.

I have to ask, didnt you think it was a trifle unnecessary to see the crack in the indians bottom?

That aside, It must be awful to not know if your family is alive or dead :(
