So scientists are apprently 99.99% sure they have the Higgs-Boson particle now, given that this should validate the Standard Model theory, what is the 'next move' for science and mankind? Anyone got any thoughts on where we go from here or what will be the next huge discovery in our lifetime?
I'm looking forward to advances in quantum mechanics and a little further down the line replicators and warp drive
Give me quantum computer!
Latest news
Scientists have discovered the Higgs bosun, apparently it was in a church performing Mass.
They are now looking for the Satan bosun, which they hope to find in a coven of witches performing black mass.

Interesting but it wasn't where they predicted it so may have completely different properties. Or it may not be the Higgs at all, might just look like it.
TBH if someone had written down modern particle physics in a novel nobody would have believed it as even remotely believeable

The universe is filled with wonder and incredible things, all the more reason to go looking!
