What (main) dish would you make with them?

Chilli/Garlic/tomato/linguine - dressed with basil, parmesan and a squirt of lime juice.

Serve with the the undeniable attraction of garlic bread, and a class of cold crisp white wine, and youre on a winner.

Id serve them with some sort of soup like tom ka with fish balls, or a nice udon with fried tofu, scallions, and bonito broth.

Beat some eggs, coat the prawns, and then coat in beadcrumbs. Bake slowly in the oven with some hollow peppers stuffed with cheese and veg. Ideal as a starter.

Or do prawn fried rice as a main, simple but effective.

Thanks for the suggestions, Ill definitely try some of them.

I ended up fying them with garlic, chili, lime & corriander, then skewered them.

They shrank down quite a bit.... will have to get tiger prawns next time :)

Obviously you havent been keeping up to date with my posts eggonface. I was an omnivore before I went veggie so I know about the flavour of both meat, fish and other seafoods.

I may no longer be able to eat meat but that does not stop me from eating fish. Late last year I decided to switch from veggie to a Piscean diet, which means I can eat fish, prawns or other sea food. I have nothing against people eating whatever they fancy, providing it isnt me.

Unless they are fresh and uncooked its best to just sear them rather than cook them properly. You probably overdid them a bit.
