This is the new ipod range from apple.
Does anyone have one ?
Also do you think they will release a bigger capacity one soon? 16gig is too low, I need around 30gig.

I have one and its fantastic. The web browser is the best thing about it.
I would imagine they will release a 24 or 32 gb one in a few months.
Mate of mine has one and its all very novel but a bit gimmicky
Jaimz
How easy is it to use on the move. I use mine for running and I dont want to have to stop, fanny about with tilt zoom pan and a gear shift if I want to adjust the volume. The previous ipod was easy to adjust while running.
hows the web browsing work? wifi?

Someone I work with has one, and he loves it. However it looks like if you want to do any manual changes like skip a track or change volume you need to take it out and look at it.

Most you do anyway, a lot of people i know with remotes for devices hardly use them or do not know where they are etc and pull their player out anyway

odd, you can use the other iPod interfaces in your pocket if you know what you are doing with it. I use a Creative Muvo Slimline, and you dont even need to take it out of your pocket to skip tracks and adjust the volume. It only gets taken out of my pocket to have the tracks changed.

People do things differently and while you can change ipod bits in your pocket I have always pulled it out anyway, you have your playlists set up and you create all sorts for your itunes and ipod so its press and play and when your fiddling you are fiddling
You are right to get into it to unlock seems more hassle and a external volume control may have been an idea but good stuff outways the bad, I will be getting one soon since mine died but its going to be very handy with its wifi when I am in Auckland
Sam - bigger versions will always be shipping, rumour of one before Xmas is around but people have said if they release new versions too soon people would complain, there is already leaked tit bits about the 3rd gen iphone for example so Apple have a good line to go
The one thing sam with your current work and travel will be the wifi use and the soon to be 3rd party applications and the current features as well.
You arrive where ever you are in a new city and your looking for places and there is wifi, you can switch on google map and work out where your going etc
It might sound strange but I dont really use it for a portable mp3 player. Most of the time it gets used as a web browser and video player. When Im using it for music its in my living room attached to my ipod speaker dock.
I think it would really need a headphone remote if it was used as an mp3 player all the time.

Mine has a wheel dedicated to volume. ATM though I am wondering why Sam needs more than 16GB when you can sort the songs out and just load enough for a run. A couple of GB should be more than enough for that.
or is that another Ipod limitation?

They are very good, easier then most devices is the general verdict, very good on this front
I do wonder with some, yes it is nice to use the storage for files etc if you use that but sam has a notebook he uses when he is travelling and honestly who listens to over 20 gigs or something worth of music if they are out exercising or on a plane etc? and video, yeah you may have small stuff on there and photos but again you cant really watch full movies on them
Ive not got access to one at the moment to check but doesnt the headphone remote thing work on all iPods? That would give you skip, volume, stop, start etc without taking it out of your pocket.

Probably, I will have one in a few weeks will let people know if paul does not do so first
I decided to be helpful and went upstairs to find one.
The earphone remote controls do work with both the iTouch and the iPhone giving you access to locking/unlocking, play, pause, stop, forwards/backwards and volume.

Cool, told they do not come with them but that is nice to know
If anyone is buying one PODCPM9VZQ gets you £23 off
I think you need to spend a minimum of £230 to use it.
