Anyone got any suggestions for temping work. Basically Ive resigned from one job for certain ethical reasons and dont start my new proper job till July so have a 5 - 6 week gap to fill.
Obviously there is the go down to a temping agency option. There is also the go traveling option which Ive already done a bit of & cant afford to do while also paying rent ofr a place in London.
Was thinking of trying to get work as an extra - Ive got military experience & so thought it would be usefull (any flim/tv drama that needs soldiers in the background is boud to need a load of them) - Apparently it is usefull but the agencys only open thier books once or twice a year.
So does anyone have any suggestions - or am I probably better off just going to an agency and sitting in an office playing with excel for month.
Unless you fancy going to do some bullet dodging in Iraq (IE security work) its preferable to just do the temping...
If you are out of work have you tried going to the benefit agency? Might not be able to do anything about handing you dosh but might sort out the rent for you.
I dont think anyone would send me to Iraq just for 5 weeks though - No point in going to the benifits agency as Im not going to be out of work.

somehow i think being a bodyguard in iraq or afganistan is far more dangerous because bg deaths are not reported on any media source :/

You also dont get back-up from any regular armed forces so are pretty much on your own, and have a good chance of ending up hanging from a bridge after being burned alive like those four unfortunate members of the Blackwater Militia.
