Bit of spare unistrut and some fittings, plus an evening with a hacksaw and spanners.. im quite happy with it
Holds my new VMWare lab nicely.
Nice work, personal kit or work lab?
What's the specs? Looks a hefty bit of kit!
its all my own kit
2x HP DL380 G5's with a pair of 72GB discs, 2 quad core xeons and 8GB RAM each
1x EMC CX3-10c SAN with 15 146GB discs
1x Qlogic FC switch
I also have a Dell 5424 24 port managed gigabit switch on the way
Nice rack :heehaw:
If I ever fill my Microserver I wouldn't mind something like that for another unRAID box.

Or the noise of the knocking on the door by the bailiffs from the electric company!.
JEEZUS!
28c outside temp.
48c inside Shadow's house.
Looks good, how are you finding the VMware course stuff and is your company paying for it?
Just got the gigabit switch so i can actually get this thing working properly.
I was on a company funded VCP5 course in jan, recently failed my VCP5 exam by 10 points, just want to be able to play about with this stuff without risking breaking something important.

Awesome! Bit overkill?! I used 2 laptops and a VM running openfiler for the shared storage! :)
Overkill.. yeah got more hardware here than some of the customers i help support i reckon :w00t:
been configuring the dell power connect switch this evening, console is interesting, not quite cisco IOS but helpfully similar i think
