Just noticed the attachment section when Making posts was fixed, looked at the version of software and someone kindly updated it.
2.1.8 Has:
Whats new
1. Lucene as search engine: JForum now uses the world famous Lucene library for message indexing and search. This ensures high performance and result quality, taking place over the old table-oriented solution, used until JForum 2.1.7.
2. Replaced DWR with JQuery for all AJAX calls. JQuery is also used for DOM manipulation in some places.
3. Inline message editing: now, with the proper rights, it is possible to double-click a message when reading it to edit its contents, instead of having to click in the "Edit" button and go to another page (which is still supported). This specially makes the Moderators life much easier.
4. New BB Tags: youtube, flash, rm, google and wmv
5. Administrators can now manually approve an user account: In boards where new users are required to validate their email addresses, the Admin Panel interface now has a section where the Administrator can see all pending requests and, optionally, activate them. This is useful for situations where the user does not receive the registration email or is having problems with it.
6. Identification of Moved Topics: now, when moving a topic to another forum, JForum will add a visual tip, in the original forum, that that message was moved to someplace else.
7. "Search this forum" search: Each forum now has a "Search this forum" form, just right the "New topic" button, where users can search for messages in that specific forum without needing to go to the search page.
8. After login, redirect to the referrer page: after a successful login, the browser will be redirected to the page the user come from, instead of sending it to the main forum listing page. This improves navigation and user experience.
9. Record of how many times a message was edited: a textual information is shown above the message showing how many times it was changes since its creation.
10. Ask for user confirmation when subscribing to a forum or topic: A Javascript confirmation dialog is shown to the user when he tries to manually subscribe for notifications about changes to a forum or topic. This prevents for "unwanted" clicks.
11. Logging of Moderation Activity: Now it is possible to request any moderator to provide a reason for any kind of moderation activity, like message editing, deletion or moving. JForum will keep a log of every action then.
12. RSS now shows a snippet of the posted message
