Just visited my mums this afternoon and she has been without a landline and the internet for over a week now because of construction workers accidently cutting off one of the wires in the ground a week ago and took out some of the phone lines in the area (including my mums house) and so all week she has been without a phone line etc, BT told her straight away that they are aware of the problem. 2 days ago 2 BT engineers came out to look at my mums phone line and left and said that there was no problems at my mums end (i thought this was strange as i thought the problems was supposed to of been up the road where all the construction work was??) anyway tonight the net had still been down and i got fed up - so i looked at the phone socket where the ADSL splitter is to the Router / phone etc, but what do i see?? There was nothing connected up to the phone socket! LOL so i connected it again and the phone worked straight away and the net was back on too.. my mum didnt know about it and she wasnt told by the engineers what they had done ROFL are the BT enigneers having a complete laugh or did they just make a silly stupid mistake?? My mum doesnt know much bout technology etc so she could of been without a phone for a longtime maybe because of this, what do you guys make of it all?
