Still using Nvidea GF 7900 GTO

Going to have to upgrade that sometime this year but can't decide what with CPU is an Intel Core 2 2.13Ghz.

[edit]

Then again the keyboard is from an old IBM XT, 5 pin din through a converter and into a PS2 port.

all the way through I was thinking "come on serious, that's not nearly old school enough for this thread", then you pulled it back at the last second LOL. They just don't make keyboards like they used to!

I remember the days when we used to think a GPU with a heatsink/fan was mental and beyond hardcore

I've still got an old HP Pavillion sat in the corner that works fine. I remember upgrading it with a Voodoo Banshee and firing up Quake II in 3D accelerated mode for the first time.  I spent hours wondering around admiring the reflections, shadows, lighting and other bits and pieces, it was jaw dropping at the time.

Lol I remember plugging a voodoo banshee into a packard bell and then souping it up with an extra 32mb ram and an amd k6-2. The banshee was like going from black and white to colour, happy days.

I went from a 2MB S3 VirgeDX to a Voodoo Banshee 16MB. I remember it being amazing, the Virge was so underpowered that if you tried to use its alleged 3D acceleration it would invariably crash or actually run slower than software mode. The Banshee was incredible by comparison. I remember being stunned by the visuals in Star Fleet Academy which had been nearly unplayable on the Virge but on the Banshee was smooth as silk.
