as of last night i need a new lcd tv as the sound has gone on my 37" bush HD lcd , needs to be around the £200 mark and not have freeview .
if posted in wrong forum mods please move to correct one ;) , any body got any ideas on where i would get a decent sized tv for the cheapest price possible ? :dunno:

I think you'll be lucky to find something good around that size and without freeview for that money.

You might need to get some clients behind you and give some examples of tvs you have had before to be taken more seriously.

Argos don't do repairs and the repairer don't carry parts for obscure brands so more than likely if you buy one of these you will get it replaced with "like for like" which works in your favour in the long run.

i have look for more info on this but not found anything so yes i ask the same thing ???
it might not be a case of not being allowed to sell tvs without freeview but more a case of why would anyone sell or manufacture and tv without it.
You would be selling somthing that cant recieve a signal in alot of places anymore so it wouldnt really be a TV it would be a monitor.

I believe this is the reason. To be marketed as a TV it must have a tuner that can receive broadcasts; since the minimum needed now to receive TV is a digital tuner for freeview, this is why.
