Title: Memory Dilemma
Post by: Kunal on October 16, 2007, 14:08:27 PM

Ive got a dilemma ordering flash memory - I need to order 2 x 4Gb compact flash cards. Problem is I need them by Thursday as Im flying out Friday.

All the usual places - 7dayshop, mymemory, etc cant guarantee it in that time frame.

Need recommendations for where else I can order that has a courier service?

Amazon have Sandisk Ultra II 4Gb for 25 quid each, but their express option is 20 quid and even then isnt next day!

i know this is the wrong forum, but I need to know asap so I cn order before any cut off point ;)

Unfortunately Jessops prices are sky rocket high :(

Ebuyer and Scan are also pretty useless for flash memory it seems.

Just noticed Dabs has a Sandisk 8Gb Ultra II for 58 quid inc VAT, 67 quid inc next day delivery.

They dont have 4gb ones in stock... bit hessitant about getting an 8gb card - usual concerns, what about if it corrupts etc.

Especially seeing as we may be experiencing some severe cold temps (-15 to -25 degc)

Doesnt ebuyer have a sign on their mainpage saying that Citilink will be used instead of Royal Fail until after the strike?  It has a picture of a Citilink bowling ball knocking over Royal Mail traffic cones.

I have never had any issues with ebuyer, use them all the time.

EDIT: Sorry you meant as far as stock/prices on said items not delivery.  Do you really need 8GB?  Can you not just buy one hi speed 4GB one?  and get another one while you are away?

I could survive with a single 4gb card...

Problem Im having is I cant bring myself to pay the rediculous prices theyre up for when so many places have them for peanuts.

http://www.lambda-tek.com/ seem to do next day courier for 6.50 and have cheap memory prices.

2 x Sandisk 4Gb UltraII Compact Flash + 6.50 = 64.93 delivered.

Never heard of them though! Emailed to ask which courier they use and whether they can despatch today.
