Expected, but will he make a better job of it than Blair? and is it worth bothering to renew my party membership after several years??? :/
I want a general election and from what I gather the opinion polls show that upwards of 75% of the country do aswell!
I think its absolutely bullsh*t that we have a new prime minister yet we have not had an opportunity to hear his manifesto, let alone debate it.
I thought we were a democracy.

So because of the way that happened 15~ years ago we should shut up and accept?
What kind of modern country works on those pinciples. Just because something has happened a certian way in the past doesnt mean its right nor does it mean we should be quiet and accept it today.
We didnt elect Tony Blair either though - so who cares :)

The country elected the Labour party members to act as MPs, they didnt elect TB. Why should the elected members give up their democratically obtained seats?
hes not saying that, hes saying he wants to be able to vote for the next primeminister, which i think is more than fair
