THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past
math and science
can comprehend
knowing
acknowledges
order/pattern perception
knows object name
reality based
forms strategies
practical
safe

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination rules
symbols and images
present and future
philosophy & religion
can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
believes
appreciates
spatial perception
knows object function
fantasy based
presents possibilities
impetuous
risk taking

I can see both ways if I look away & look back

Christ.

i see it spinning clockwise, being right brained is advantageous where you are in a creative job. it means you can draw and express your ideas more easily as you dont let your more rational left brain influence your output.

I see clockwise but I am usually neither impetuous or risk taking. I use many of what they claim to be left brain functions too.

My books may be fantasy, but they are based on logic, oriented to detail and facts rule. They are entirely words and language, present and past, maths and science. They depend on me comprehending and knowing. They are based on reality and have strategies. They are also mostly practical.

If your good enough and you know the trick you can get it spinning either way at will and it is easy if you know what it is and you think of course

Think which side of the brain controls which side of the body and think what two body parts you have that are relevent to this picture and then work out how you can get it going either way

Cover your eyes with your hands then alternate opening and closing them.

It is as simple as that if your brain works normal (if you cant do it  you hacve a dodgy brain :) )

Your right half controls your left side and your left half controls the right so closing one eye relating to the current direction for the side of the brain working.
So if it is going anti clockwise your using your left side of your brain so if you shut your right eye and keep looking at it you should see it switch. it may take a while and you may need to read the text or something to get it to kick in and look at the picture again but it does work

no. if you are right handed this is the normal,

your right brain controls less logical tasks, where verbalization doesnt occur. dont speak to anyone sketching while they are drawing as they cant do both.

your left side controls motor function, speaking, rationalization.

left handed people use both sides of the brain to do normal left side controls, and if your dysbraxic, the wiring is even more complex.
