They will find it much easier if they actually stand up or at least sit up properly.

I had a bash on the good old ufo yesterday after finding it covered in dust in the airing cupboard. Its like riding a bike, amazed at how much came back to me.

lol I kinda miss it, I used to be in like 3 orchestras in my county, one of only 3 ufo or 2 tuba players :D lol. Everyone played trombone, french horn, or cornet/trumpet. My nights in school consisted of 2 concerts some nights. :) Id do an orchestra practice at 3pm, 4:30pm Id be at another orchestra practice in another school, then 7pm Id be at Glamorgan Uni doing another practice with the County orchestra.

Very true, thats usually the second thing you are taught after how to hold the thing. I remember being told to practice with the mouthpiece and no actual instrument for a week before even thinking about learning to play.

Must be much better than kinky biatch then, after about a dozen lessons she still murdered the damn thing for about an hour a day before we told her to shut up.

And the blasted digeridoo isnt much better either! :(

Heh, I remember when I bought a trumpet and started learning! Got one for Ã,£60 off Ebay. My girlfriend at the time plays and she was teaching me a bit and I just couldnt get it to sound good or work at all. Then she had a go and couldnt either and realised the trumpet was broken! (phew! And theres me thinking I was just terrible :p) So got a refund through Ebay and havent bothered buying another since.. I dont think I can be bothered with the loudness.. Atleast with my bass I can turn it down!

Have you thought about trumpet mutes? You can pick them up for about a tenner I think.

The parents loved it when I was learning to play the recorder    I was banned from playing it in the house however they did not mind me playing the keyboard. Whats the difference me wonders....... :mutley:

iv tried to play:

The recorder
The keyboard
The piano (yeah i know same thing)
The guitar (acoustic)

And failed on all of them.. mainly due to lack of commitment id say but then again the dyspraxia probably didnt help, i had the most trouble with actually reading the music off the sheet.

Id love to play the sax tbh, but it aint ever gonna happen
