i keep getting them from all the black dust which comes from cardboard boxes, and their inherent moving. which is part of my job.
however i disagree with the fact it dries everything out so effectivly, your bogies become ROCK HARD. and when you move your nose or something you feel them cutting the delicate lining of your nose.
only click if you have a strong stomach/are not afraid of a little blood (http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c272/kingred7/12-08-06_2337.jpg)

you need some nasal lavage.
Get a proper medical device (http://www.northwestnatureshop.com/department/Garden_Art/Gardening/1058.html), and make a saline solution to pour through your shnoz. About a tablespoon of UNiodized salt to a L of water to start with.
