Police no lie Detectors why if Adrian from Grove Care was tested head fail 8 questions from me, I know people beat them but i bet they train  first to beat them, but  Adrian would fail a surprise.

I don't follow. The police don't use polygraph tests as far as I'm aware? They have no real credibility, are easy to beat and aren't permissible as evidence in any way.

Ah, I see, I had completely missed that thread.

I take it the police are still being their usual unhelpful selves?

Its clear Adrian will win if the Police used common sence, they'd point at Adrian but the ones I met are thick, no  common sense.

Without evidence the police can do nothing, they cannot base things on common sense unfortunately.

Even if they where 95% sure this guy did it, without evidence to support this there's no point in prosecuting because nothing will come of it.

Have the police enquired about 'other things' going missing there, surely he's done it before?

Unfortunately the police are useless. They lie constantly (apparently me and my friend assaulted this girl, and as my friend was staying with me at the time, my mum had to be there for both of us, and they lied right in front of my friend and my mum. They finally realised the other girl was making it all up and left it).
I had my suitcase stolen from a train about 2 years ago, and after phoning the police they said that nothing could be done because there were no cctv cameras (at least none actually functioning) on the train, and it could have been a mistake. My parents phoned their insurance company, as that was around £250 worth of stuff stolen and they said that because I wasn't attacked and they hadn't broken into our house and stolen it, then I couldn't make a claim.

Unfortunately, this is what I think is going to happen to you, it always seems to be when you're apparently to blame they're right there, but as soon as you need their help they just can't be bothered.

Not all police are useless, have you ever thought how absurd the law they have to uphold is sometimes? the fact that some scumbag could have blatantly punched an innocent bystander out, but without CCTV or a witness it's their word against captain pondlife, leading to it getting chucked out of court

Have you thought about how much police time and effort gets wasted by the ever increasing dregs of society? and how if they take action THEY could be the one ending up prosecuted.

Just a thought.

I'm with Matt, my experience of real policemen has generally been positive (even when I've been doing the naughtiness). Their job is harder than it ever was because they've had their real power taken away. They arn't allowed to use common sense all the time, sadly. But it's not their fault, there are many genuine and decent policemen that try their best to serve the public.

it sucks, £1.5k of stuff is a lot to anyone, unfortunately to the police its not worth assigning the man power. The system is broke.

Well obviously it's just in the South that the police are rubbish. All the actual police have been dished out to the schools to stop truanting, so the only people out on the street are the PCSO's.

They're too concerned with sitting in vans with speed cameras and giving fines to people who drop litter or pick up litter now it seems...
