Title: Reverse Fundraising
Post by: Privateer on October 07, 2009, 10:55:17 AM
Its clear Im not going  to raise the stupid prices for China ($26.300), Ill never get treated over here so the only way would be to get a loan, if it works ill be able to fund raise for a second treatment, would you put money in a bucket of someone already treated..
QuoteHello Dave,

here is some info. The current price is $26,300 for 6 injections.

Good Luck,

B MacNeill

Dont mean to piss on your chips here mate but how do you even know this stuff actually works. This is the Chinese were talking about after all... these are the people who believe in magic energy channels, sticking acupuncture needles into you to balance out said magical energy or say scoffing say tigers penis to cure impotence. They havent really opened their eyes fully(no pun intended) when it comes down to medical science.

Perhaps you need a reality check, yes it might be a nice thought that some crazy little men have come up with a magic cure but chances are they really havent and it would be a massive shame to see you getting into huge amounts of debt and flying half way round the world so that some charlatans can give you some duff injection in return for a big wad of cash.

I can;t remember the name of the site...  but Im sure its been mentioned on here before... one of the guys from dragons den is into it in a big way... its basically a credit union website... you either put money in to lend to people... or you try to borrow money...

you can pick who you lend money to...

if so... you might be better off trying to get a load of people to lend you the money at 0% interest ?

Do you have to choose who you lend it to ?

1. You can either choose to put money into markets split by credit ratings and let Zopa do the rest or....

2. There is a feature I havent used yet where people go on asking for a loan and other people grant them chunks(however much they wish), that way you specifically choose the exact person you lend to.

I prefer the first option as only £10(You can change this to bigger amounts) of my money is lent out to one person at a time and therefore Im less likely to lose anything from bad debt.

Yes that makes sense because I was going to say you dont want to lend to one person and they default.

Can you pull your money out at any time, or do you have to lock it in.

Its locked in for the term of the loan, only 3 and 5 year options at the moment.  Borrowers can pay back early though, but that only gets you your £10, so not reliable.

It is in my opinion the only bad thing about it.
