Title: Shelia’s Wheels
Post by: DeltaZero on August 31, 2007, 14:03:15 PM
Next time the advert is on wait for the line "women make the safest drivers" and notice how all three women are facing away from the direction in which the car is travelling and are instead waving.

Something tells me a man put that advert together.

Notice also how there is no rear view mirror - it will be in one of their handbags, waiting until they need to reapply lippy.

Imagine though, if there were a "Barrys Wheels" singing about how men make the safer drivers, etc.

There would be an uproar!

I noticed that the first time I saw one, its to make it plain that they are not driving the car unsafely.

Well thats my excuse and Im sticking to it :D

Youre right! I just did an online quote on their website, but put my age as 28 rather than 18 (just to be sure they dont say Im too young for a quote) and they gave me one!

I put male, 28, one years experience and 1 years NCB on a 1.4 Ibiza.. £443

Its a bit expensive, but not bad!

EDIT: They wont insure me under 21. And as 21, wont offer my comprehensive..

Also noticed something - On driving experience the options are: "Under 1 year, under 2 years, under 3 years, under 4 years, under 5 years, 5 years and above"

Technically, anyone with less than 5 can put under 5 years!

A person who took their driving test six years ago and has never been in a car regularly since could put the highest option.

TBH they would count a one year driver who claims under five as fibbing at least.
