At least he died peacefully at a ripe old age, sad news though, someone was only talking to me about him a few days ago. RIP.

I once narrowly missed out on meeting Sir Jimmy. I spent a few days in the Stoke Mandeville with a minor ailment when I was about 10. He toured the childrens wards and said hi and get well soon to all the kids, except that I was in X-ray when he visited my ward :(
