I used to eat them all the time when I lived in Dundee, (the local takeaway had my "special" order of no tomato sauce and four servings of sweet hot chilli sauce on the base instead ready to go at all hours of the day and night), and I replicated it last night with my own home made pizza bases to the disgust of some friends who were over at the time. I just love how all of the lovely sticky chilli sauce tastes with the oregano and cheese.
Admittedly my own tastes are a little heavy on the chilli sauce but I dont think its that unusual a concept... surely pizzas with chilli sauce have to be more loved than just by me?
What do you think, lovely concoction or a crime to all things pizza related?
sounds tasty to me, though I would almost certainly go for a milder chilli than you since I am not a fan of very hot food.
When I arrived at uni a friend of mine got the local Pizza place to do a meat feast with BBQ sauce base instead of tomato. They claimed this was a most odd request but after a year of us ordering at least one a week it was added to the menu.
I didnt think it was that strange a request TBH, but the pizza shop insisted theyd never heard of it before.

bytejunke, said pizza is a normal pizza simply with the tomato sauce completely replaced with a nice hot sticky sweet chilli sauce. (Think the semi-clear stuff you see with Chinese food rather than any kind of kebab sauce). Lashes of oregano really help set the flavour off and it goes really well with chicken, peppers and onion on the pizza.

i dont use a chilli sauce, I just smother it in proper chillis - well dominos do after adjusting my order to replace pineapple.
Dont really eat much pizza tho tbh. I do like a BMT Subway with some lettuce, peppers, chillis & reggae sauce.

Me too, although I use hot dried chillies from a grinder on my pizza :)
Not a huge fan of Chilli Sauce but I am a sucker for swapping out tomato sauce for barbeque, something which happily both Pizza Hut and Dominos will both now do in the UK :D
