Silicon cases are not adequate protection.
:o
Dunno about that, probably protected the tyre quite well...
I'm still using a Tocco, i look forward to the day it gets run over.

Like :)
Photos or it didn't happen ;D
I left my 4 on top of the car and drove off, it stayed on for a bit then flung off at a corner at 60kph.
Lady found it, got it back. Case was munched but the phone only had a small chip/crack in the corner where the camera was and a bit at the bottom. I can get a replacement back no problem.
I've never understood how people manage this, my phone is either in my hand, on my desk or in my pocket! Are you getting the same again?

I was the same till it happened to me. I still to this day do not know how I managed to do it since I worship my God phone.
My mum ran over my old Desire I gave to her.
I think it fell out of her pocket whilst driving, when she got to a car park she heard something fall out the car but couldn't see what it was. When she left though I think it had been behind the next cars wheel, which had since left...
Totally knackered the screen. It looks totally fine, but if you get the light just right you can see the screen is all shattered inside.

I have a Tocco Lite. Words cannot describe how much I hate that phone, the only thing going for it is it's indestructible! I'm not even kidding the amount of times I've dropped it down a flight of stairs or it's been crushed by my heavy bag and the most damage it has is a bit of a scuffed up screen and a tiny gash on the edge of the case. The only thing that's really broken is the little flap you open to put the charger in, and that's just because I have a habit of opening and closing it all the time.

I bought it for calls/texting but texting completely sucks on it, but it might be my big thumbs!

Good phones die, bad ones go on forever...
OTOH you might just be cursed by someone who hates you...
My phone had another cracked screen. I blame this bloody gorilla glass that is everywhere. It's tough against scratches but if you hit it just right it spiderwebs all over the place.
2 dell streaks died this way dropped from pocket into carpet onto the long flat edge and one got punched off of a car roof (must open fist before attempting to grab phone off of roof lol)
And now my galaxy s, dropped from my pocket sat down in my car and slid/fell out of the door when I was parked onto a dirt and gravel parking area, no more than a foot off of the ground but picked it up and blam covered in spiderweb cracks.
A small piece of gravel appears to have caused it by catching the screen by the big single button it has on the front.
Bloody annoying. I've drop kicked nokias, thrown xdas and even dropped my freaking iphone 3g off of a foot bridge and they didn't complain aside from sometimes throwing their batteries out in protest.
Gorrila hardened glass phones are just stupid fragile.
Thankfully the phone is still useable, just bloody annoying.

Does it still power on?
Yep, still works but I'm gonna get it swapped for a new one this week.
