quite interesting actually - they are discussing it on more 4 news - a midwife basically said that she persuaded a woman to eat her placenta after she lost a lot of blood during birth & refused to go to hospital.

apparently it is also used in chinese medcine for iron deficiency & insomnia.

A friend of a friend (unlikely to lie tbh) had his wifes placenta brewed into a beer that was avaliable at the christening.

Personally... providing its cooked. Id happily consider eating it depending on the texture.

Im fussy as hell when it comes to meat, its sinews and jelly fat that I hate just cant stomach it. So providing it was completely clear of that crap, Id eat it.

Placenta hs virtually no fat and definitely no sinew. Its actually a relatively healthy thing to eat. Many animals do so in order to reabsorb the nutrients.
