Bare with me and I am sorry if I do not come out right in asking this...
Recently anyone with freeview or digital tv of some form may have noticed that film four +1 has been scraped and replaced with channel 4 + 1.
This has happened before and I first thought it must be some time of the year thing
BUT
Both channel 4 and ITV have had movies on Channel 4 and ITV respectively but when it comes for these movies to be on their plus one hour channels They have not been on.
You get this "Sorry, for legal reasons we cannot broadcast the programme that was shown earlier on ITV2"
So the question is have these lost some legal right to do this then? Are they now only able to show a movie on their service channels once a day or something?

AFAIK On ITV its what they paid for. I expect for the normal C4 channels the same applies. For Film 4 I dont know, it just disappeared. Overall its bound to be broadcasting rights though.

erm not really considering normal broadcasting folk can watch said movie on the normal ITV instead of ITV+1
I hate the +1 channels, they are a waste of money. Prefer higher quality programs rather than a channel dedicated to reruns. Its why we have bloody video/dvd/hd recorders

i think the +1 channels are good, i usually miss an episode of something and just stick the +1 channel on, it makes my day
i lead a very dull and boring life
Agreed, the amount of times ive turned the TV on half-way through the show, i just set a reminder on the +1 channel and get to watch the whole thing 30mins later!
