...at 9am. Looks like the sleeping pills I got last week are actually working, although I only have a weeks supply and then I see how it goes.
Asked for an appointment with any doctor for an ear problem. Ten to ten I was in. Said to the doc, "I think I have an ear infection."
Doctor looked into my ears, "you have an ear infection. Have you been using anything?"
Me, "tea tree oil, it seems to help keep the infection down."
Doctor, "probably saved you from a trip to the hospital."
So I have a little bottle of spray-in-your-ear antibiotics to use for the next week. Hearing on the left side is still rather poor though. Feels like its stuffed full of cotton wool and still slightly painful.
Im banned from drinking alcohol too.
Damn, damn, damn
Ive been fighting a nasty cold for over a week with alcohol.
The cold is currently winning and my liver is losing :(
I feel sorry for you, ear infections are nasty.
Whiskey does not cure but keeps u happy while ill :)
I wasnt so happy waking up this morning at 5:30am from it though

I feel your pain, I had an ear infection, or ear something at least, for a good month last year. Im not one for taking drugs unless absolutely required, but the pain in my ear was so bad I went to Tesco Express at midnight to get painkillers. It was driving me nuts and I couldnt sleep.
Its funny you say youve been using Tea Tree Oil, I did too :)
Incidently Im off work ill today. Got flu for the first time since I was in primary school.

You need a hair of the dog ;)
Ear infections are painful :( there is a coucgh syrup containg morphine that works very well, you need a prescription though.
I have about 150 x 30/500 co-codamol tablets (methylmorphine + paracetamol) and about the same number of aspirin, plus a few other bits and pieces lying around near to me. Thankfully I started treating it before it became really bad. ATM its itching a little and feels stuffed up but its not too bad.

Its like borrowing from a loan shark, sooner or later you have to pay it back, plus interest...
"methylmorphine" that another name for codine?
lol. opiates.
Must suck being two.
Quote from: White Giant"methylmorphine" that another name for codine?
Yep, body changes about 10 percent of it into genuine morphine.

Heh I just woke up this morning at 5ish due to dehydration... Went out and got extremelly plastered last night :D
Tea tree oil is cool the aboriginals use it...I read last week it is going to be banned or something maybe restricted god knows why.!!!
Nah they wont do that, its used everywhere, half the products in Boots, Superdrug, etc all have tea tree oil in.
Ban it? Whatever for? Its great for ridding the skin of spots and a whole lot more. Plus I love the smell, but then maybe Im weird?
:stupid:
Woke up this morning at 3:30am, ear itching like hell. took a couple of aspirins to try and reduce the problem (had already taken 8 cocodamol). 4:00am no result, sprayed the docs antibiotics in. 5:00PM still itching, feel like I want to use a coal rake to stop it. Finally decide that stinging is better than itching so put a few drops of Tea tree oil in.
5:02 realise stinging is no better than itching was, inside of ear is scratched with crumbs of hard skin, these do not respond well to tea tree oil application. Consider ripping off own ear, consider ripping off own face, consider cutting off ear as a compromise. 6:00 stinging subsides enough to realise that I have went into an all over cramp, can hardly move. Gradually stretch muscles to coax them back into some useful shape. 7:00 go back to sleep.
Today hasnt been too bad so far. ear feels like its crammed full of cotton wool again and occasionally there are little stings but nothing bad.
Back to the doctors again, the infection has moved into my sinuses, so ear pain has been replaced by strong headaches. On top of that the ear still feels full and odd.
Doc has a look in both audio orifices and says, "you have a soggy ear."
So Im on 5 days antibiotics for the sinuses and still on the spray for the ear :/
Getting really interesting, I have a sore throat to add to my problems and Im gobbing out blood and mucous.
Guess its back to the doctors in the morning.
Seems I was being far too bloody optimistic, I assumed the blood was from my throat, seems I am coughing up bits of lung :)
Far stronger antibiotics for another week.

Got no idea, as I said it started as an ear infection and has gone walkabout.
