Spent literally all day splitting a LIVE checkpoint VPN-1/Smartcenter UTM into separate management node and a couple of enforcement points. (Due to licensing issues)

First off, problems with the exported config which turned out to be down to some IDIOT transferring the file up in netascii and passing off to me as a binary transfer as he didnt want to admit he was a moron

Then I import the config onto the new management node, create two new enforcement points as hosts GuiDBEdited the three nodes to split them out, and then get the dreaded certificate name already in use when I go to initialize the SIC - arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh

reset the CA on the new management box, retried the SIC and yeooooooooooo - policy pushed and finally got home.

Tomorrow I have to go back there to finish up, couple of extended acls to do on their intersite routers - and then Im off over to another site to put 6 PIXs in. Then its off for 2 weeks - yessssss

Knowing my luck Ill go in tomorrow and there will be some problem with the SIC every time you push the policy

Clock'd 0Ne

I spent quite a few hours on the tedious task of converting 4x 16 page PDF documents full of text and graphics into web pages.

Thankfully none of that again today, other than a few support issues for people I think my day will be very quiet - my last full day too until Jan 2nd.

knighty

Works Christmas do yesterday, so ate a mound of turkey and got stuck into some drinkies.

Last day today until 3rd Jan, then two weeks notice before Im moving on, so could be quite hectic over Christmas.
"Within your 'purview'? Where do you think you are, some f**king regency costume drama? This is a government department, not some f**king Jane f**king Austen novel!"

Took out a production server on client site. lol :) Something I wrote, got installed by a numpty, thus rendering the server useless, and requiring a rebuild. FUN! :D

Poison_UK

Was rudely awoken by my alarm at 5.
Got to work 5 minutes late (I hope no one noticed, thank god we dont have a clocking in machine).
I dished out some keys for the day then escorted a few vehicles around the Prison and finished at 12.

Went home via the fish and chip shop and now Im sat playing WoW as the idea of going down town tonight doesnt appeal to me at all, its known as black eyed Friday here. Fights, Police and More Violence, usually a day for the surrounding pit villages to come out and cause pure havoc :D

Oh and I dont get any holidays at all, Im on night shift as of Monday *bangs head against desk*
