I am having to move from my current company (blu guy) as my domain is about to run out and the company is as good as dead.
I am gonna go with a new host and change url. www.randomorangecolour.co.uk was just too plain awkward
still trying to decided what to have as my new e-mail addy
I could use my name in url
Same with my nickname
Trying to think what you guys did, for those that have domains.
:D :D :D
[edit] Also any host recommendation will be appreciated [/edit]
www.knighty1.com :)
(knighty was taken... but on sale at $600)
.....
you should keep www.randomorangecolour.co.uk too.... so you can still get all your old emails etc.. ;)
tho a nice new span free email account is nice :)
I dont have any important mails on that account, i made sure of that
Although it has nothing really on it except for the stuff I use here I registered http://www.antarctic-one.com as mine, its the working title of my first book ;)
er... I have.
www.barely18gig.com
www.owobble.co.uk
www.m3-computers.com
www.m3-computers.co.uk
www.richardhicks.info
www.m3-computers.info
Just cancelled my contract with 1&1 for renewal of m3-computers domains and the .info domains.
So will soon just have barely18gig.com and owobble.co.uk :)
I have:
abovetheinternet.org
abovetheinternet.co.uk
stuartgibson.info
plus a number of sites registered for possible future use.
I keep thinking studentfoodguide.co.uk will be useful for something at some point :)
It will be a sad day when randomorangecolour goes away. I remember that crazy IRC session that gave birth to the domain :)
for my co.uk domains i use Freeparking. Not the cheapest, but i like the extra features they threw in, and due to a screw up I got free renewal by way of apology. Plus Ã,£14 every 2 years isnt going to break the bank.
For my .com domain i just use my webhost. i think it was $25 for the domain, 100Mb of webspace and 5gb of bandwidth. Again lots of stuff included that you dont normally get with the cheaper hosts. ERU is using that space atm.
domains i own are
www.uclanrocksoc.co.uk
www.prestone.co.uk
www.zombiechorus.com
Ive got rcram.dns2go.com, not a proper domain cause its just using some dydns software but does mean I basically get unlimited storage/bandwidth cause its all run off my server pc. Works out about Ã,£11 a year I think, speaking of which I must renew it soon cause its about to run out.

A group of us use our dates of birth, so...
www.7six.co.uk
www.five8.co.uk
www.2seven.co.uk
www.7five.net
etc etc
Although they can be a bit fiddly on the phone saying "nimrod@ -the number 7-and then s_i_x; thats six in words; .co.uk" lol
