They are shooting two protons at each other at the CERN particle accelerator, the massive one we discussed a little while ago today for the first time.
As some scientists feel the experiments will create uncontrollable small black holes which will destroy the world!!!!

WERE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!

Goblin

Hey, if we get compressed down to a singularity wed all be close enough to hold another Samcrasher.

Wont last long, but itll be great to meet you all and be infinitely compressed with you.
It's all fun and games until a 200' robot dinosaur shows up and trashes Neo-Tokyo... Again.

I wonder what sort of warning you would have, lol.

Probably next to none.

Id imagine a singularity created that close would just inhale us all in the space of a nano second if that.

Yes, I doubt wed all have time to stand around chatting about it.

"Hey, whats that ominous looking darkness on the horizon headed this way?"

"Hmm, I checked the weather this morning, there was no mention of any singularities forming... :?"

Poison_UK

They will of allready performed tasks like this behind closed doors.. Its just a public display now! :)

Have they turned it on yet? Have we all been sucked into an alternate reality where everything is exactly the same as before, but the odd socks have now been paired up in our drawers?

Goblin

Odd socks still unpaired. Singularity avoided.

However, Im guessing this wasnt the "big test" since http://www.lhcountdown.com reckons there is still a week until they fire up the LHC.

So what did they collide today? Small hadrons instead of large ones?

M3ta7h3ad

Think it was just a section test.

i.e. a short segment of the collider was tested.

i know its pretty childish, so Ill blame it on the dislexia... but i cant read that without getting the d and the r the wrong way around in hadrons  :heehaw:

Naked, poorly-endowed yet sexually aroused men running full pelt into one another? Sounds like a jap gameshow.
