PSU Tester.

Although you will rarely use it its a handy bit of kit to have lying around.

Or hit it a few times with a sledge hammer, that will prove its failed totally and she needs a new one.

/totally useless post

Ive tested the PSU on it now, with it plugged in to the motherboard, but with nothing connect......the results are different to what they should be...

Pin 1 = 16.72v
Pin 2 = 9.9v
Pin 3 = com
Pin 4 = 4.72v
Pin 5 = com
Pin 6 = 4.72v
Pin 7 = com
Pin 8 =
Pin 9 = 8.1v
Pin 10 = 8.1v
Pin 11 = 3.3v
Pin 12 = 9.75
Pin 13 = com
Pin 14 =
Pin 15 = com
Pin 16 = com
Pin 17 = com
Pin 18 = 4.72v
Pin 19 = -6.47v
Pin 20 = 8.09v

So they arent really what they are suppose to be, so is it knackered do you think??

Worth trying a new one, TBH you have went beyond reasonable.

If she isnt running anything particularly meaty then it should be cheap enough. The question is what other damage it did while dying.

Told her to get a new one, as well as a motherboard.
