I cant install the new Flash player. Correction: I can install it, and have done several times, but it aint working, yeah?

I heard that you need Java? I have tried to install this but a Windows Installer box thing comes up, but doesnt do anything. I left it for ages, but nada.

What are you trying to view the flash in?  A raw loader, firefox, internet explorer, etc?

Java and Flash are entirely interdependant, money. You shouldnt need to install Java to install Flash (of course it helps to have Java installed anyway for sites that need it, straight real, dawg). Which browser are you using homes, IE or Firebug?
