unfortunately not though they were kind enough to give me two pay rises within 6 months of joining the firm we are expected to work some bank holidays and just receive a days holiday in lieu

Well I suppose really its just like any other day, except three times as expensive, but I do intend to be wasted and out while 6am. Probably holed up in a diner.
