I need more memory installing in my PC.

Ive currently got 512Mb DDR333 (2.5) 184pin. The motherboard is an Asus A8V Deluxe.

The motherboard can take up to DDR400, so dont know weather its worth getting rid of the 512 stick and getting the faster stuff, or keeping that and putting it to some use?! Would like to go up to 2Gb depending on price really, as im totally skint! Where is cheap at the moment?

Cheers!

Youre better off with more memory than slightly faster memory at those speeds. Aim for 2Gb.

DDR memory is getting more expensive as DDR2 is taking up the bulk of orders.  So where you go, Ebuyer, Misco, Scan etc doesnt reall matter.

Get your self 2 sticks of 1GB.  Kingston or Crucial would probably be your best bet, you may even want to order direct off them.

DDR2 of that would be about £30 to put into perspective.

Can I fit DDR2 in to that motherboard though??

I was wondering why DDR seemed to cost more than DDR2 TBH......thought I was missing something, lol.

Cant view ebuyer at work, as they block ebay....and anything that could be ebay! lol

Doesnt say if thats 184pin though, as thats what my mobo takes Beaker.

That stuff Madrocker posted is super cheap! Would maybe be worth buying a new Mobo as well to be honest to support DDR2 for that price!

DDR = 184 pin anyway, its a set standard.  You can use anything that is up to 400Mhz as itll step down if you want it to anyway.

Arr right! There shows my lack of knowledge! Cheers :)
