QuoteThe UKs first "fibre town" could go online in the autumn, delivering speeds of about 100Mbps (megabits per second) to consumers homes.
Fibre firm H2O provides super-fast broadband via the sewers and either Bournemouth, Northampton or Dundee will be offered the service first.

no doubt therell be a 1gb/m cap..

I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Serious

Quoteand either Bournemouth, Northampton or Dundee

Shows the BBCs English is going downhill.

theyll get bought out by BT and cap the download limit at 2.4Gb per month for heavy users, or NTL wholl then up the speed to 10Gb and offer The Worst Customer Experience Of All Time.

Ive just thought, wont all ISPs servers need a massive upgrade to handle the increased speed? Going from 8meg to 100meg is quite a leap.

Genuine question as Im not sure what kind of hardware an ISP uses.

Id be more worried about their core backbone and their main switches/routers to be honest. I imagine HP, Cisco and Foundry are rubbing their greedy little hands with glee at the minute....
Career, Wife, Mortgage... my sig was better when it listed guitars and PC's and stuff!
