Im setting up a server for old games at the moment.  Would anyone here be interested in the details once its up and running?

At the moment weve got the following games suggested or conformed ::

SOF 2 - not keen as i know my website members, and theyll scream all day long about, and theyll kill the scheduled games so they can play it.  
Wolfenstien Enemy Territory.  
Mech4 :: Mercenaries (Using Team Banzai NFMs for anyone that has played the game a lot).

any other possible games that would make a nice addition?  Or some alternatives.  UT1 is a definite, the others are pretty much up in the air.  The machine itself wont take new games, its only a 1.8 P4/1Gb machine, and im looking for a low-profile AGP card to go into it so i can actually get a couple of the games installed because ive found they wont without a 3d accelerator installed.  Machine will be sat on an ADSL line with what will be about 16Mb/2.5Mb on the line (gotta love Bes Pro Package.)

Comms will be via TS2 as in the past we tested and found it was lighter on bandwidth than Vent.

Defo in for UT - how about C&C Generals? Much prefer it to Tib Sun/RA2.

I would need to find game disks or some supply but I would be interested, havent network gamed in a long time so very rusty. I will probably make good target practice tho :mrgreen:

id play ut, be ubernoober tho. I think one of my rl friends would too.

If i do put Mech4 on then itll be running the Team Banzai NFMs.  I used to be a member.  Just think, PeaSoup Fog + Big City + a Daishi with 1xCUAC20 and 2xLBX20.  Its Leathal, knocks other assault mechs over!

Didnt get into it online that much to know what Team Banzai NFMs are

I used to always go for a thor or baby thor (hellspawn?) wack up full speed, add a few flamers and go join the big matches

How about some HL2 mods?
Ive been playing some Hidden : Source recently and its great fun.

Source Forts is one of my favourite free HL2 mods.  Very good fun.

But any classic game, Red Alert 2, UT would be cool.

Ooo might have to give Source Forts a try at some point, looks quite funky.

Think if you are doing a game server you should ignour the HL2 mods as there are already thousands of places around that you can play them where as its alot harder to find the old game ones,.
