Need to test but I am sure the 580w hiper modular type r will not handle 2 8800gt cards in sli, think it will only do 2 7800s
So I need a new power supply for intel core 2 duo board (main psu power supply the 4 pin next to it and the extra one for cpu) that has 2 pci-e connectors for the graphics cards that is also has modular connectors

And someone who I could get it sent to then shipped to nz asap ^^

Serious

If that is what you have then try it. Otherwise the skys the limit on the price.

Pull anything you dont need first though to lower the drain and then add them gradually if it works.

Well SLI ran but games kept crashing and soon as I plugged a usb device in - blue screened during a game
not enough power so I need a psu that can handle two 8800gts and a core 2 duo, 2 gig memory and a few devices, Modular would be nice but not essential and looking for around the £50-70 mark

Any way you could reduce the load on the PSU? Remove an un-needed optical / floppy drive? Take any overclock off?

Was doing it with the bare minimum plugged in and I got more things to go into it to use regularly as well> I first thought it was overheating but surprisingly the cooling and sorting of all the cables I did was really doing a good job so it was not that
530w seems to not quite cut the mustard
