My housemate is due to move out shortly, taking with him his Xbox Elite.

One of my mates is moving in and bringing a PS3.

So I think I am going to get an elite to replace the one thats going..

Does anyone know if there are any upgrades coming out soon? e.g. new chips etc etc? I basically want to know if to get one now, or if a better (cooler / less noisy) version is coming out soon and worth waiting for?

Havent heard anything about a newer version of the elite, everyone was rumoring inbuilt HD-DVD but thats not going to happen anymore.

If the next one is Jasper then with a 65nm CPU and GPU its a hell of a long wait - end of 08!

The Elites look good.

Got on elite nothing wrong with them, very nice mine runs quieter then a couple of friends with normal 360s

Ye Zavvi or however you spell it...

Has an elite, extra controller, Forza 2/ Viva pinatta, Virtua tennis and any extra game for £330

So thought I might as well go ahead! We currently have an elite, but losing it as housemate moving out so I know its a good piece of kit :)

Just wondering if there were any price drops of better hardware coming out any time soon... but doesnt look like it....

...So guess Ill get one Wednesday after work :w00t:
