My company car comes up for renewal in a couple of months and im seriously looking at the Volvo C30 D5 R-Design.

Anybody have any experience with this model at all? I have driven the 2.0 D SE and wasnt impressed with the trim level but the R-Design model is much better.

The only other car i have been thinking about is the Alfa 159 2.0 JTD *runs and hides*

Ive had a few s60s as company cars. Lovely cars. Top notch leather interior, climate control & plenty of toys to play with.

It looks a bit disabled from the back

I like the look of it tbh, i test drove the BMW 120d and wasnt really impressed with it at all.

The only thing about the Volvo is if you want any other colour than flat red or white its extra.

I think the C30s are pretty funky.

They have a very good engine range as well.

I quite like them, would look ace in white I reckon :)

PHASE5

Well I havnt driven the C30 although being a Volvo it is bound to be comfortable and the D5 engine has some real torque behind it.

I have had many Volvos (although mainly V70s) and they have never let me down.
I just ordered the new V70 2.0D SE Lux with most the trims to replace my old 04 Plate D5 SE V70 which was a fantastic car. The engine is without a doubt a charm and the Volvo D5 is still in the top 10 best diesel engines. I tried the Audi Equivalent the 2.7TDI A6 and hated it.

All I can say to you mate is if you do go for the D5 engine you wont be let down especially in a car of that size.

Oh and if anyone wonders why the 2.0D ... its to keep the tax down!
