Good on him, always seemed like a decent straight up chap, maybe a few too many blows to head, but he knows his stuff when it comes to rugby.

They were initially going to get him as a manager but as a moral and team building role which would have been pointless but when he sat talking with them he side I will be the boss and have coaches that know their stuff or not at all. And he got what he wanted and good on him and rightly so.

Ashton is a coach, nothing more and his approach to games was always wrong, yes England have actually done well in terms of results but have not been the same England or played well for a long while. 1 Game against the AUS and a couple vs France and odd one before that and nothing more then that.
A new attacking backs coach will come and is badly needed as they are flat and do not do anything, defense has overall been good but with no points going up and a full 80 minutes play rather then one half has been lacking as well as the team spirit.

well all either would bring is some respect. Neither are experienced managers.. it could work, it could backfire, just think its a big risk.
