Dad tying up the rear tie bars before we lowered the car on to the engine

Few shots of the turbo being test fitted - sits up nicely and well away from the firewall - yeooooo - now all I need to do is fabricate the new exhaust downpipe - and mount the wastegate and its ready for starting!

Fuel hoses connected up again in the boot

And a shot of the interior for no reason - which is full of parts still!

Cant wait to see some videos of this driving when its done - any idea on an eta or is it a when time allows kinda project?
Career, Wife, Mortgage... my sig was better when it listed guitars and PC's and stuff!

Im quite jealous of you and your father, he only time my dad helps me is when he wants somthing from me, like PC support. (I now charge him for this though)

Id like to see this in real life, especially on the track.

Im shooting to have it going this weekend and run in for final mapping by April. I also have to squeeze an MOT in between now and then.

April is a target due to weather - dont really want to ruin it!

The budget has been massively exceeded so Im having to save more than I thought!

I was just thinking this, that air feed looks huge; just to think that WRC cars have a 34mm orifice plate...

Mark

Thats a 4 inch inlet - 101mm or so in new money

mr_roll

Erm, this might be a silly question, seeing it on the ramps they look awfully standard brakes. You are upgrading them arnt you?!

Thats a point, hope he is, otherwise it would be a bit insane not too. I am sure Mark has thought of that though as to how much work he has put in already, probably already got some waiting to go on.

Mark

I have already upgraded the front brakes. The rears are more than adequate standard.

It is a 150mph+ car as standard - so even standard brakes are very good.

Clock'd 0Ne

Do the rears not matter as much because its RWD?

bear

About 75 %  of the brake power the front takes care of, on both  front and rear wheel drive.

I didnt realise this, although it makes sense thinking about it :)
