Ok, I will go with the idea not to copy the cartoon and just use it as a base for the movie and the early direction noted here seems fair. I think Mask would do well if done properly.

The 80s He-Man film is He-Man enough. Suitably camp and cheesy, anything else would fail.

Weve already got a new string a Conan films in the making so I cant really see room for He-Man to be honest, unless its aimed directly at the kids market.
