One thing I learnt over there was that if you leave even an inch of your car in the road, and not completely on the path/in a bay.   It will get dinged.

Quite amazing.

That sucks guys.

A guy at work is looking to pass his test soon, hes 23 and he wants to spend like £3000 on a new car.

Me and my older colleague keep telling him to buy a banger for atleast the 1st 6 months as itll make much more sense as youll bang and scrap the car off walls, other cars and hopefully not people.

Indeed, theres far too many liabilities on the road to have a new car these days, IMO.

Serious

My brother bought a new car last year, but he got a cheap one!

but its worth half the price now and hes spent money on servicing etc. The only car Id buy new is a special one, like a bentley if I had the dosh or a lambo as if I had that sort of cash I really wouldnt care about depreciation

Under £6k for a Fiat Panda (new style) with a 3 year warrantee, so depreciation diesnt really matter that much. £35 road tax.

Considering what some peoples cars cost them its damn cheap.

*she-devil*

Someone nearly took my wing mirror off this morning - bloody taxis!
