Theres two Blu Rays out there.
Gran.Torino.2008.1080p.7.59 GB

 Gran.Torino.720p.AVCHD.4.25 GB

get the 720p one and convert the .m2ts file to .ISO and burn the ISO to a DVD, you now have a  DVD.

or just get the dvd version & save all the hassle & time of downloading & converting

I have 4x RWs are they the fastest, I can t find any  faster.

Mongoose

I dont recal having seen RWs faster than 4x, personally I never use RWs anyway and certainly wouldnt use one for anything you want to keep long term. The dye breaks down under UV light so they are not really permanent storage.

The dyes on +/-Rs can go bad eventually, but RWs are worse.

I dont know if its just coincodence or not, but I always find the slower I burn disks the more reliable they are....

most noticable when its something important like a windows install disk etc...

burnt fast I get errors / missing files on the install

burn slow, from the same image, onto the same disks, with the same burner... and they all work ok :-)
