Aftermath was a better name but nevermind. I am looking foward to this, when it was first annoced I was following all the news i could however since its taking much longer than i was expecting to come out Ive sort of fallen behind on things

Ive got it pre-loaded and pre-ordered. Im looking forward to it

It was a better name at the time but valve are moving towards episodic content for the time being.  Episode 2 is allready well into development.  

They reckon they can do this on a yearly basis, rather than a 6 year wait for a brand new game on a brand new engine.  Though eventually they will probably move onto another engine despite how much life the source engine has in it.

One of the problems they had when creating HL2 was idea generating, this time around they have to long a lost of ideas to deal with.

This episode foccuses on what happened after the explosion, does the citadel and the city survive, we learn more about the G-Man and spend a  lot more time with Alyx.  It should be very good.
