Im going down to London tommorow for the Misco Expo.  Ill have a couple of hours free while waiting for my off peak train back, any suggestions on what do in the area other than stroll around aimlessly?  Anything that is a must see.  Been a good few years since Ive been down there.  Ill have a zone 1 underground day pass.

A trip down brick lane to look in all the stupidly overpriced *art* galleries?

China town and sushi bar is always a must for me. Theres a very good and very cheap place very near Leichester square or whereever the place with the big odeon is.  When I went a few weeks ago I grabbed a few big boxes and sat and ate it in the park.

Zone 1 is pretty much just central london isnt it? tbh Id say thats a little pointless as you could walk around zone one fairly quickly. The passes for the zone 1-4 which pretty much cover all of london bar the really outlying places would open up a lot more possibilities.

If I only had a few hours I could well end up spending all that eating sushi and just in Forbidden Planet ><

I just wondered if there were any niche gadget shops or clothes shops or whatever, Im not down in London that often.  Im the type of shopper that treats myself to something new every couple of months.

Eh, we have the internet for shopping :p

From there Id do one of my favourite strolls down over London bridge, down the south bank, stop at the Tate for a G&T in the 7th floor bar, walk down towards Parliament and the eye and then tube back from waterloo to Euston.

:stupid: If its only a couple hours thats your best use of time. Chat some girlies and have a beer.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Very quickly before I goto bed, I was in London all last week on a course, across the road from Liverpool St station is a bar called Dirty Dicks http://www.dirtydicks.co.uk its not cheap in there(£3.33 a pint!) but the beers good (youngs pub, youngs special was magnificent last week) Its worth going just to update your facebook status with a Dirty Dicks joke, if you do go that London Gherkin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/30_St_Mary_Axe is near by, worth going to have a gander as its crazy to look at.

If you can get to Carnaby Burger co thats worth a go, I had a double chicken jerk burger, it was immense. http://www.burgerco.co.uk/ Dunno where it is thoug as someone took me there   :drama:

Cool, thanks for the advice.   At the very least Ill take a stroll down the thames since there seems to be a bit not to far from where I need to go.
