Just go to cardiff & they are booked solid for a week to get an appointment to get a national insurance number.

iirc unemployment fell by 2 million in the last few years.... but people on disability went from 500k to 2.5million....

yup, more people on disability than there is on the dole.

38million people at the working age & at least 5million of them are on jobseekers or disability.
Thats excluding people on other long term benefits like Income support (you have to had paid NI stamp to be entitled to job seekers,
otherwise you get income support).

so thats just over 30million people who pay for these scroungers, the NHS, the schools, the old, etc.

I also know having seen the quality of candidates that I had apply for jobs over a 4 year period. Appalling. Most applications were poorly written and for those who came in to interview it was instantly obvious why they could not find a job.

I think the exception is the older people who have lost a reasonably decent job in manufacturing or manual work and because of the nature of the shift to service sectors find it difficult to find work. I had many good older people apply who just wanted to earn a wage.

I agree.. a large chunk of the people I see are unemployable.. some cant even be bothered to turn up in time - and stand outside one at 5 to 9, all you can smell is a mix of lager, cider (mostly special vat) & cannabis.
